As I listened to the album Odos Nefelis 88 ("88 Nefelis Street") released by Haris Alexiou in 1995 my mind was filled with images, and I thought it would be fun to stage it. Six months later, out of the blue, she asked me to do so. Working on this small-scale show with her was a very emotional experience for me. I was a beginner in this particular business. We ended up with something really charming, I think, and quite demure. I like to remember her singing the piece I Andres Pernoun, Mama - "Men Come and Go" - with a handful of yellow roses slipping through her fingers.
