For my second Alkistis show, I built her a square floor platform that could be lifted, rotated and twisted. The highlight of this second collaboration was the participation of Stamatis Kraounakis. Though his 20-minute segment, staged with a piano and a refrigerator, was less impressive and less high-tech than Alkistis' sections, it holds a special place in my heart. He always managed to sing in an intimate and personal way, even in the surroundings of a nightclub. I realised once and for all that as a director I cannot produce anything of interest for an audience packed around tables, eating, drinking and smoking. I still cannot understand why Greek singers tolerate such a setting when they perform.
