Happy 2026, everyone! Let this be a year of harmonizing rather than homogenizing and polarizing.
2025 has been a year of personal archaeology. I was happy to create THIS THAT KEEPS ON for the Cycladic Museum, presented during a unique fundraising night at the Herodion Theatre in October. In this work, I composed a new constellation of stars and planets drawn from the memory of my entire ergography.
I was also happy to dive into my archive and revisit my comics creations – to restore, rework, and translate them.
I am excited and deeply moved to revive one of my most significant creations:
REQUIEM FOR THE END OF LOVE – created in 1995, it was the first Greek work of art to acknowledge the AIDS tragedy, at a time when there was a total lack of social conversation around the issue in the country. The requiem, an original composition by Giorgos Koumendakis, will this time be presented with live music, conducted by my genius friend, Teodor Currentzis. On 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30 January 2026 at the Greek National Opera.
There is a good chance that I will be breaking my decision not to tour anymore, for a limited international presentation of both works.
There will also soon be news about a special edition of my comics.
Stay tuned, and enjoy your holidays. Dimitris
